Seminar and walk at the city school (main campus), Jinnah town, Quetta on June 15, 2023A&P Wing NAB (B) organized a Seminar on Role of Students in Eradication of Corruption on 15 June 2023 at The City School Main Campus, Jinnah Town, Quetta. Mr. Farooq Azam Addl Director and Mr. Khuram Shehzad Deputy Director represented NAB and addressed the faculty members and students on the topic “Role of Students in Eradication of Corruption”. Mrs. Mehar Maryam Lecturer of the School and College and shared her views on the topic. An awareness walk was also arranged at the school.

Seminar and walk at the City School Campus II, Quetta Cantt on June 21, 2023On 21 June 2023, the A&P Wing NAB (B) arranged a Seminar on the “Role of Students in Eradication of Corruption” at the City School Quetta Cantt Campus wherein faculty members and fair gathering of students participated. Network Partner Bolan Ms. Saima Nazeer, Principal Ms. Hina, Deputy Director NAB (B) Mr. Zahid Kasi, and Deputy Director NAB (B) Mr. Khuram Shehzad expressed their views. The session was interactive and the queries of participants were replied by NAB officers. An awareness walk was also organized at the school campus with the aim to convey message against corruption strongly.

Seminar and walk at govt girls post graduate college, quetta cantt on June 22, 2023On 22 June 2023, the A&P Wing NAB (B) arranged a Seminar on the “Role of Students in Eradication of Corruption” at the Govt Girls Post Graduate College Quetta Cantt wherein faculty members and fair gathering of students participated. Deputy Directors of NAB (B) Mr. Zahid Kasi and Mr. Khuram Shehzad addressed the faculty members and students. Ms. Najeeba Hassan, Head of Commerce Department, and Ms. Sadaf Ashraf lecturer also shared their views. The session was interactive and the queries of audience were replied by NAB officers. An awareness walk was also organized in the institute with the aim to convey message against corruption strongly.

Seminar and walk at police training college, sariab road, quetta on June 23, 2023On 23 June 2023, the A&P Wing NAB (Balochistan) arranged a Seminar on the “Eradication of Corruption is must for a prosperous Pakistan” at Police Training College, Sariab Road, Quetta. The staff of College and more than 500 x trainees belonging to the Counter Terrorism Department attended the event. Mr. Aurangzeb Deputy Commandant Police Training College, Mr. Muhammad Rashad Director NAB and Mr. Khuram Shehzad Deputy Director NAB (B) addressed the staff members and police trainees. An awareness walk was also organized at the police training college.

Seminar and Walk at Leaders Odyssey School and College, Dr. Ghulam Nabi Road, Quetta on August 02, 2023On 02 August 2023, the A&P Wing NAB (B) arranged a Seminar on the “Role of Students in Eradication of Corruption” at Leaders Odyssey School and College Quetta wherein vice principal Ms. Fareeha Nadeem, consultants of the school and college, teachers and fair gathering of students participated. NAB (B) was represented by the Deputy Directors Mr. Khuram Shehzad and Ms. Saleha Zaman. During the seminar, speakers emphasized the students to play their role in eradication of corruption from society. The session was interactive and the queries of participants were replied by Mr. Khuram Shehzad Deputy Director NAB (B). An awareness walk was also organized at the school campus with the aim to convey message against corruption strongly.

Seminar and Walk regarding “Role of Students in eradication of Corruption” at National University of Science and Technology (NUST), Quetta on September 28th, 2023A&P Wing NAB (Balochistan) organized a seminar on the “Role of Students in Eradication of Corruption” on September 28th, 2023 at NUST University, Quetta Cantt. The purpose of the seminar was awareness of young masses regarding the evil effects of corruption and its consequences on our society. The event was attended by fair gathering of students, faculty members, and staff. Director NAB Mr. Khawar Ilyas and Brigadier Dr. Waseem Khaliq, Dean and Director of the University, addressed the participants and shared their views on the topic. An awareness walk was also arranged by NAB (B) in collaboration with university management.

Seminar and Walk at Sardar Bahadur Khan Women University, Quetta on October 04th, 2023National Accountability Bureau (Baluchistan) organized a seminar on the topic “Role of Students in eradication of Corruption” regarding anti-corruption awareness campaign at Sardar Bahadur Khan Women University, Quetta on 04 October, 2023. The purpose of the seminar was to disseminate awareness message and hatred against corruption among the students. Deputy Director NAB (B) Mr. Khuram Shahzad and Dr. Gul Butti Dean Management Sciences shared their views before the students of the university. Dr. Farhat Safdar, Registrar SBK University, Ms. Saleha Zaman Deputy Director NAB (B) and fair gathering of students witness the seminar. A symbolic walk was also organized at the end of the seminar.

Seminar and Walk at University of Balochistan, Quetta on October 05th, 2023NAB (Balochistan) organized a seminar on “Role of Students against Corruption” at University of Balochistan. Director NAB (B) Mr. Khawar Ilayas, Mrs. Zainab Dean of Management and Information Sciences, Deputy Director NAB (B) Mr. Khuram Shehzad, faculty members, staff and fair gathering of students attended the seminar. The main objective of the seminar was to raise awareness and hatred against corruption among the students. The guest speakers namely Mr. Khawar Ilyas and Mrs. Zainab stressed the effective ways in which students can contribute in building more transparent and accountable society. The queries and questions raised by the young students were replied in detailed by the Director NAB (B).

Seminar and Walk At Al-Hamd Islamic University, Quetta on October 09th, 2023NAB Balochistan organized a seminar at Al-Hamd Islamic University Quetta in connection with anti-corruption awareness campaign. A large number of university professors, students attended the event. Additional Director NAB (B) Mr. Farooq Azam addressed the students and urged them to play their role against corruption. He said that corruption is licking this country like a termite and we have to take tough decisions to deal with corruption. We have to take extreme measures to tackle corruption so that the dream of a bright future can be achieved. After the seminar, an awareness walk was organized wherein a large number of students along with faculty members participated.

Seminar and Walk at Quetta Chamber of Commerce and Industry on October 26th, 2023NAB Balochistan, in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce, organized a seminar on 26th October, 2023 on the topic “Corruption is a Barrier to Economic Progress”. The seminar was attended by the Director NAB (B) Dr. Muhammad Rashad, President QCCI Mr. Abdullah Achakzai, Deputy Director NAB (B) Mr. Khuram Shehzad and other affiliated members of business community with QCCI. The seminar aimed to raise awareness about corruption and its negative effects, focusing on the need for a collective effort to combat it. Director NAB (Balochistan) Dr. Muhammad Rashad, highlighted the economic consequences of corruption and emphasized NAB’s role in enforcing anti-corruption laws. The business community also expressed their concerns related to corruption’s impact. In essence, the seminar served as an informative platform to unite against corruption.

Seminar and walk at NUML university Quetta on October 27th, 2023The seminar on “Role of Students in Eradication of Corruption” was organized by NAB (B) at National University of Modern Languages (NUML), Quetta on 27th October, 2023. Director NAB (B) Dr. Muhammad Rashad, Director NUML University Col (R) Nisar Ahmed, head of departments, students, professors and faculty members of University attended the event. Dr. Muhammad Rashad during his address stressed on Character Building of students in eradication of corruption. They asked them not only to start hatred against corruption but to raise their voices against this curse. Col (R) Nisar Ahmed also shared his view on the topic. In the question and answer session, Director NAB replied all the queries raised by the students and faculty members.

Seminar arranged by Police Department during Anti-Corruption Week held on December 07th, 2023Police Department, Govt of Balochistan in collaboration with NAB (Balochistan) organized a Seminar in commemoration of International Anti-corruption Day on 07th December 2023 at Central Police Office, Quetta. It is the first ever seminar conducted by Police Department in collaboration of NAB (B) to mark the significance of the day. The main objective behind organizing the seminar was to spread awareness against the menace of rising corruption. The chief guest of the event was Inspector General of Balochistan Police Mr. Abdul Khalique Shaikh. The Director General NAB (Balochistan), Mr. Zafar Iqbal Khan and DG Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Balochistan Mr. Abdul Wahid Kakar were guest speakers. The fair gathering of officers/officials of Police department attended the seminar. Director General NAB (B) Mr. Zafar Iqbal Khan in his remarks elaborated that the purpose of arranging such Anti-corruption seminars was to aware Government Institutions and employees about the ill effects of mounting corruption in our society. He further explained the three pronged strategy of NAB in fight against corruption i.e. Awareness, Prevention and Enforcement. He also said that NAB has started focusing more on its awareness strategy as it is the most important tool that can eradicate corruption. DG ACE, Mr. Abdul Wahid Kakar highlighted the impacts of corruption in society and emphasized to recognize the collective efforts against corruption. The Inspector General of Balochistan Police, Mr. Abdul Khalique Shaikh while sharing his views against corruption underscored that corruption should be dealt as an organized crime. He also added that even favoritism and such petty crimes be considered as corruption in order to completely stamp out corruption from our society.

Seminar arranged by Anti-Corruption Establishment Balochistan during Anti-Corruption Week held on December 08th, 2023The Anti-Corruption Establishment Balochistan arranged Seminar in collaboration with NAB (Balochistan) on 08th December, 2023 at Sikandar Khan Jamali Auditorium Balochistan Civil Secretariat, Quetta. The officers of different departments of Balochistan participated in the seminar as audience. Chief Guest of the event was Minister for Home Deptt, Capt (R) Zubair Jamali whereas Director General NAB Mr. Zafar Iqbal Khan was guest speaker of the event. Director General ACE Balochistan Mr. Abdul Wahid Kakar in his inaugural speech welcomed the Chief Guest and Guest Speaker alongwith participants. He said that menace of corruption has entirely changed our social values and norms. He said that we have forgotten our past when corruption, bribery and other social evils were taken as an abuse. Decline of the social values have resulted into rapid increase of corruption and corrupt practices. The honest, truthful and righteous were considered as beacon houses for others whereas corrupt and dishonest had no respect in the society. In the name of change and modernization, we have left behind our moralities, ethics and golden values. Resultantly, corruption has wiped out the strong footings of our culture. Director General NAB Mr. Zafar Iqbal Khan in his address said that incompetency is a big cause in rapid spreading of corruption. The curse of corruption is now affecting the genius minds too. He placed the example of bright students who ask for favouritism to get marks for obtaining position. He said that Bureaucracy have much experience and now it’s our duty to play our part in reforms and betterment of this society. He was of the view if every employee work according to rules / regulations and mandate then there is no need of any anti-corruption agency to monitor them. The Chief Guest of the event Mr. Zubair Jamali in his address highlighted the impact of corruption on our daily lives, he motivated the participants to start anti-corruption strategy at their home and teach their children avoid lying and dishonesty. It will not only help them to become respectable citizen of this country but will help in eradication of corruption. Better education can play an important role against this evil.

Seminar on International Anti-Corruption Day arranged by NAB (Balochistan) held on December 09th, 2023Seminar was arranged on International Anti-Corruption Day on 9 December 2023 at Markhor Hall, BUITEMS University Quetta. The event was attended by vice chancellors of the universities, secretaries of the provincial departments, educationists, members of the civil society and a large number of students. About 400 x participants from different walks of life witnessed the event. Provincial Minister for Excise & Taxation Prince Ahmed Ali Ahmedzai graced the occasion as chief guest whereas DG NAB (B) Mr. Zafar Iqbal Khan, Social Activist Mrs. Roshan Khursheed Bharucha, Addl. Chief Secretary Mr. Zahid Saleem, DIG Anti-Terrorist Force Mr. Muneer Masood Marth and Vice Chancellor BUITEMS University Mr. Khalid Hafeez were guest speakers. Director General NAB (B) in his address while describing the performance of NAB (Balochistan) informed the audience regarding recovery effected by the special attention of worthy Chairman NAB. He gave certain details regarding recovery and its onward disburshment to the concerned quarters. He also gave glimpses of cases which are under inquiry / investigation and trial. He also underscored that 20 x properties worth Rs. 2.42 billion are being handed over to the provincial government in today’s ceremony and certain properties are near to be handed over after due course of law. He also told that NAB (B) is pursuing the cases industriously wherein learned courts have imposed fines. He educated the audience that 187 x countries have ratified the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) and Pakistan is among the pioneer countries who ratified the convention first. The founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah also emphasized to end the scourge of corruption. He encouraged the students that youth can play an important role in preventing corruption. While defining the NAB (Balochistan) awareness campaign he said, NAB (B) have organized various declamation, essay writing, painting, calligraphy and filmmaking competitions with the main objective of instilling hatred against corruption in the minds of young students so that they will be aware of this monster in the future. He thanked all the participants in the seminar and requested that everyone should analyze individually and do self-accountability. The Chief Guest Prince Ahmed Ali Ahmedzai, Ms. Roshan Khursheed Bharucha, Mr. Zahid Saleem, Muneer Masood Marth and Mr. Khalid Hafeez also shared their views on the topic to mark the significance of the day.At the end of the seminar, the documents of 20 x properties having worth of Rs. 2.4 Billion were handed over to the provincial government. Best performance certificates were also delivered to the NAB officers for their good performance during the year 2023. These were Mr. Ajmal Hameed Deputy Director, Mr. Khuram Shehzad Deputy Director, Mr. Adnan Mehmood Butt Deputy Director, Mr. Saleha Zaman Deputy Director, Mr. Abdul Samad Assistant Director, Mr. Mehmood Ahmed Assistant Director and Mr. Hameedullah Assistant Director. A symbolic walk was also organized to mark the importance of International Anti-Corruption Day.

Seminars arranged by other Departments of Govt of Balochistan on International Anti-Corruption DayNAB (Balochistan) requested different offices / departments to arrange seminars / lectures / workshops / walks and other awareness activities in their respective jurisdictions to commemorate the anti-corruption week. Accordingly certain activities were observed to be conducted by different entities.
