The current Director General (DG), NAB Rawalpindi, Mr. Waqar Ahmed Chauhan is from Police Service of Pakistan. He has served in Police, Cybercrime Wing, Ministry of Interior and FIA. He has a vast experience of investigating White-Collar Crimes and Cybercrimes. He played a major role in the national campaign of FIA against money laundering under FATF guidelines. Since he assumed charge as DG in NAB Rawalpindi, he has introduced various initiatives the feed Back Mechanism and the concept of E-Investigation for the first time in NAB. These initiatives provided relief to the people, promoted a culture of respect and professionalism and in addition, improved the image and perception of NAB significantly.

He is an engineer by education, also holder of Master’s degree in economics and then completed a master’s in law from London School of Economics. He was honored with the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz in 2013 and Sitara-e-Imtiaz in 2023 by the government for his excellent performance in the field of public service.
