NAB

National Accountability Bureau (NAB) was established in 1999 under the National Accountability Ordinance of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan with an aim to combat corruption and corrupt practices within the country. Being an apex Anti-Corruption Agency, NAB is mandated with investigating, prosecuting, and preventing corruption across all sectors, including government institutions, private schemes, national institutions, housing schemes, and public office holders. The Bureau investigates a wide range of offenses under NAO, including embezzlement, misuse of authority, assets beyond means, cheating public at large, and money laundering, etc. NAB operates under the principles of “Accountability for All” and “Corruption-Free Pakistan,” aiming to ensure Transparency, Accountability, and Good Governance.
