Islamabad, Dec 31, 2017: Chairman NAB Honorable Mr. Justice Javed Iqbal has said that NAB is determined to perform its national duty in order to eradicate corruption from the country by using all its resources as eradication of corruption is top priority of NAB and voice of the nation.
NAB will continue its endeavors to eliminate corruption from the society by pursuing zero tolerance policy against the corrupt and would adhere to file references in courts within 10 months period from receiving complaints to filing the corruption references in the respective accountability courts.
He said that NAB is geared up and perfected its procedures. Due to this reason NAB has 76 percent conviction ratio which would be improved by ensuring transparency, merit, presenting sufficient evidence and flawless investigations to conclude mega and white collar cases according to their logical end as per law. With effective efforts corrupt would be brought to justice and looted money of innocent people in various cases would be recovered and will be deposited in national exchequer.
He said the cases of private housing societies, cooperative societies which are under process in NAB since long would be completed as per law as government servants, pensioners have been deprived of their life earnings despite receiving money and are deeply perturbed due to this fraud with them. He directed NAB to conclude their cases as per law. He directed NAB officers to perform their duties with honesty, in accordance with law and without caring for any one. NAB officers should present concrete evidence in courts, arguments in relevant courts, so that the corrupt could be punished.
