Islamabad, September 19, 2017: Mr. Qamar Zaman Chaudhry, Chairman NAB said that in line with new initiatives of the tenure present management of NAB, NAB devised Quantified Grading System (PQGS) in 2014. Under Quantified Grading System (PQGS), the performance of all NABís Regional Bureaus is being conducted since 2014 at uniform criteria. He said these remarks after chairing a meeting of NAB officers during his farewell visit to NAB Baluchistan.
The Senior Member of Chairmanís Inspection and Monitoring Team (CI&MT) along with his team are regularly conducting annual inspection of all regional NABís Bureaus of their performance since 2016. This year, we have conducted Mid Term Inspection in August 2017 of all the Regional Bureaus of NAB which proved successful in highlighting strengths and weaknesses of NABís Regional Bureaus and they were directed to overcome their weaknesses on the basis of recommendations given by Chairmanís Inspection and Monitoring Team (CI&MT).
Director General NAB Baluchistan, Mr. Irfan Naeem Mangi gave detailed presentation about the performance of NAB Baluchistan during 2016. He informed that in 2016, NAB Baluchistan received 1128 complaints; all were process according to the law. NAB Baluchistan, out of 223 complaints verifications (CVs), completed 189 complaint verifications. Out of 165 inquiries, completed 107 inquiries whereas out of 37 investigations, NAB Baluchistan completed 20 investigations on merit. During 2016, NAB Baluchistan recovered Rs. 1615.509/- million. He further informed that in 2017 on the basis of Mid Term Inspection NABís Baluchistanís performance remained excellent.
The NAB Chairman said that NAB Baluchistan is the trend setter region. He appreciated all wings of NAB Baluchistan under the supervision of Mr. Irfan Naeem Mangi for continuous maintaining its standard in all the aspects of Accountability and Administration. He said that corruption is the mother of all evils. NAB is committed to eradicate corruption by adopting Zero Tolerance Policy. He said that NAB is Pakistan's apex anti-corruption organization. Its proactive Anti-Corruption Strategy has been appreciated by reputed national and International Organizations.
Mr. Qamar Zaman Chaudhry, Chairman NAB said that NAB Baluchistan Regional Bureau is very important Bureau of NAB. It has played prominent role in contributing towards the overall performance of NAB. He said that the excellent work done by all wings of NAB Baluchistan under the supervision of Mr. Irfan Naeem Mangi is commended as today NAB Baluchistan is working with renewed energy and dynamism, where fight against corruption is being taken as a national duty.
After the meeting, he has written his remarks in the visitorís book and said that NAB has signed MoU with China to streamline and structure and cooperation in the fields of anti-corruption. In the context of CPEC this cooperation will further boost confidence in projects undertaken in Pakistan. Another MoU is proposed to be signed with Malaysia. Details are being worked out.
