Title: NAB is committed to root out corruption by using all its resources: Chairman

Islamabad, July 04, 2017: Mr. Qamar Zaman Chaudhry, Chairman NAB chaired a meeting to review performance of NAB at NAB Headquarter. He said that NAB is committed to root out corruption from the country by using all its resources. He said that there is no shortcut to hard work, commitment and professionalism. NAB believes in “Zero corruption, 100% Development”.

He said that on bilateral cooperation, NAB has signed a memorandum of Understanding with China to streamline and structure and cooperation in the fields of anti-corruption. In the context of CPEC this cooperation will further boost confidence in projects undertaken in Pakistan. NAB is committed to work with absolute professionalism, transparently and on merit.

NAB is the only Anti-Corruption who has prescribed timeline for efficient, effective and expeditious disposal of cases putting a maximum limit of 10 months. He said that NAB has also introduced a new System of Combine Investigation Team (CIT) in order to benefit from the experience and collective wisdom of senior supervisory officers. This system is not only lending quality to the work but also ensuring that no single individual can influence the proceedings. He said that concept of CIT has proved very successful in order to improve quality of inquiry and investigations and benefit from the experience and collective wisdom of senior officers.

He said that eradication of corruption is our national duty and it would result in common well and that we all are together in eradication of corruption. He said that NAB is determined to corruption free Pakistan with “*Zero corruption, 100% Development” *and directed all officers of NAB to demonstrate absolute fairness, transparency and merit in discharge of their national duties.
